Ginhawa: "a filipino concept that encapsulates both physical and spiritual well-being, akin to 'life force' or breath of life."

Meet Daphne

Although I studied clinical midwifery, I've always known there were deeper aspects of community care of which modern midwifery only scratches the surface. Living 10 years in Latin America, traveling in different countries to observe traditional healing modalites, as well as connecting with my own filipino roots have led me to another passion for supporting all bodies throughout the lifespan in coming into alignment with their long-term wellbeing.

Tul'ix Womb & Belly Care

Also known as the Arvigo Techniques of Mayan Abdominal Therapy, this is a form of bodywork practiced by traditional midwives all over the world. In the Philippines, its known as hilot and in Latin America, sobada. It uniquely focuses on promoting circulation and alignment in the abdominal and pelvic organs, as well as the fascia and structures of the bony pelvis. Because of the psychosomatic depth of this region of the body, it also has the potential to tap into spiritual and emotional aspects of the psyche and healing.

Some examples of experiences this therapy supports:

Postpartum recovery

Fertility journeys

Digestive disorders

Reproductive conditions

Hormonal imbalance

Emotional trauma

Client love

“...It's such a deep, powerful, spiritual, and vulnerable form of body work. I felt that Daphne was the perfect practitioner to help me feel comfortable and embodied...”

Contact

"The uterus is the woman's core. If it's out of balance, her whole life is out of balance-physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually."
